A 214-metre roof truss, sixty-two thousand seats on precast terrace units, and a fixture date that was printed before the piling started. On a bowl the geometry is the programme — Ground Reality measures the camber, the setting-out and the percent complete off the same registered scan, every week.
The sheet above is a drawing of this. 13 capture waypoints, and every finding called as the aircraft reaches it — scroll sets the target, the mission keeps its own pace, and the page waits for it.

THE LIGHTS COME UP AS WE COUNT.
A bowl read in one governed pass at dusk — in over the forecourt and twelve entrances, round the roof edge at sixty-two metres while twenty-four banks ignite in the ring's own order, then down the players' tunnel to the pitch. The unit walks out of that mouth and files the threshold, the technical area and the rootzone, and we leave through a vomitory.
The truss is lifted, the props come out, and the roof takes its own weight. If the camber has not landed where the design said it would, the cladding and the facade find out for you three months later.
Camber, measured at transfer
The bowl is scanned before and after transfer and meshed against the design surface. Deflection at midspan reads as a measured number on the night the props come out, not as a survey report the following week.
Four thousand two hundred precast terrace units, each landing on a bearing set out from control transferred five times around a bowl 214 metres across. A 20 mm creep at unit 300 is a seat that does not fit.
Every riser on the line
Control is held to ±1.2 cm instead of passed hand to hand, so setting-out is checked against design at every ring rather than at the end. Drift shows up at the unit it started on, while it is still a shim.

Eighty trades work one bowl against a fixture date that cannot move. Every one of them reports ninety percent in the month they hope to be paid.
Percent complete, not percent claimed
Installed work is read by trade and by area straight off the capture — seating, cladding, services, pitch — so the programme meeting opens with what is standing. No model required, no walk-round by the project manager.

The program runs on the bowl's clock — the transfer night, the next ring of terrace units, the weekly programme meeting. The fixture date was printed before the piling; the record is how the geometry keeps it.

Bowl scan
Weekly, and either side of every load transfer
One registered cloud carries the whole bowl — trusses, rakers, concourses, pitch. Camber, setting-out and percent complete are all measured off the same scan, so no two trades argue from different surfaces.
Either side of the props, in the still air before dawn
The bowl is scanned from four stations before the wind gets up, and truss 2's midspan reads 6 mm off design camber by 05:40 — inside tolerance, signed, and the cladding contractor sets out from the measured surface at 07:00.

Ring check on control
Every ring of terrace units, as they land
Control is held to ±1.2 cm instead of passed hand to hand around a bowl 214 m across. Setting-out is checked against design at every ring, so drift shows up at the unit it started on — while it is still a shim.

Progress read
Off every capture, before the programme meeting
Installed work is read by trade and by area straight off the capture — seating, cladding, services, pitch — so the meeting opens with what is standing in the bowl, not with 82 versions of ninety percent.

The props come out at 03:20. When do we know the camber landed?
By 05:40 the same night. The bowl is scanned from four stations at 04:05, meshed against the design surface, and midspan reads as a measured number — 6 mm off design camber, inside tolerance, signed before dawn.

Q02
Who catches the creep before it becomes a seat that does not fit?
The ring check does. 4,200 precast terrace units land against control held to ±1.2 cm, checked ring by ring against design — a 20 mm creep at unit 300 is caught at unit 300, as a shim, not at the end as a seat.

Q03
Eighty-two trades all report ninety percent. What is actually standing?
The capture says, by trade and by area, in minutes. Seating, cladding, services and pitch are read straight off the registered scan, so the programme meeting opens with measured percent complete — not percent claimed.

Q04
Does the next trade wait a week for the survey report?
No. The measured surface is the deliverable: the cladding contractor set out from it at 07:00, the same morning the props came out of truss 2. The scan is on the record before the survey report would have been typed.

Q05
Can one record hold a 214-metre roof and 62,000 seats?
It already does. The bowl scan registers 1.24 billion returns across 6 concourse levels, meshed at 40M faces against design — the truss camber and the last riser of the upper tier are read from the same cloud.

Who reads it
Read overnight on a bowl like this one: the transfer-night scans, the ring-check log, the design surface at its current revision, and 82 trades of measured progress. Three of the 27 profiles wake up to it.
Truss 2 took its load at 03:20 and the 04:05 scan is registered — midspan is 6 mm off design camber, inside tolerance. Release the cladding set-out from the measured surface at 07:00.
The bowl cloud meshes at 40M faces against the design surface, and the ring check holds every landed unit to the ±1.2 cm fix — the geometry the cladding and seating are about to inherit is measured, not assumed.
Week 34 claims certify against the capture: installed work read by trade and by area across all 82, so what is paid this month is what is standing in the bowl — percent complete, not percent claimed.
