A parcel becomes four hundred and twelve lots, and every one of them is a title somebody will hold for fifty years. Ground Reality flies the stage the way the surveyor set it out — held on the permanent marks, differenced against the plan, and recorded before the fill covers the drainage that has to be lodged with it.

The sheet above is a drawing of this. 14 capture waypoints, and every finding called as the aircraft reaches it — scroll sets the target, the mission keeps its own pace, and the page waits for it.
A ridge cut to six benches, a gully bridged and a gully kept, four hundred and twelve lots pegged to twelve millimetres — read in one governed pass, then the unit scrambles the batter and measures the one peg that is out. Every corner found, every setback held, every title clean.
A peg goes missing under a windrow in week two, and the next person to need it re-establishes it off a fence, a kerb or another peg. Nobody notices until a purchaser's surveyor stands on the lot with a plan that disagrees by 380 millimetres.
The boundary, held on the marks it came from
Every capture is held on the same permanent marks the plan was set out from, so the flown parcel and the deposited plan share one control. A corner that has moved is a measured difference on the day it moves — not a dispute after the title issues.
A subdivision is sold on a cut-and-fill balance struck at feasibility. By stage four the design is three revisions old, the surplus is sitting on the balance land, and somebody is quoting to cart it off site at a price nobody budgeted.
Earthworks that balance stage to stage
The stage is surfaced against the design levels every week: cut, fill and the running balance by lot and by street. Material is moved to where the next stage needs it while the scrapers are still on site, not trucked twice.
Road levels, lot grades and the setback envelope all move at REV C. The civil contractor is working to the drawing on the ute dashboard, which is REV B, and a batter gets formed to a level that was superseded a fortnight ago.
One revision on the ground at a time
The current plan of subdivision, the engineering set and the amendments are one controlled register: superseded sheets are stamped and pulled, and every capture is read against the revision that was live the day it was flown.

The capture program
The program runs on the stage's clock — set-out, bulk earthworks, lodgement day. Every capture is held on the same three permanent marks the plan was set out from, so the flown ground and the deposited plan can never disagree about where a boundary is.

Balance-land strips
Before the next stage opens
The balance of the parcel is flown in two strips at 1.2 cm detail, so stage 5 is planned on the ground as it is now — after four stages of haulage — not the surface the scheme was priced on.

Before lodgement, corner by corner
Every corner is read against the deposited plan on shared control. The fence on lot 131 sitting 380 mm inside the peg was a measured difference at 08:20, a re-fixed corner by 09:05, an amended plan by 11:40.

Drainage record
While the trench is open, before backfill
The open drain and the detention basin are surfaced before the fill covers them — the 1% AEP drain, the basin at TWL 8.20 — because they lodge with the plan, and nobody digs them up to check.

Q02
A peg goes under a windrow in week two — then what?
The corner is re-established off the record, not off a fence. On lot 131 the fence read 380 mm inside the peg at 08:20; the corner was re-fixed off PM 41 807 by 09:05 and the amended sheet was with the grader by lunch.
It is struck weekly instead of once at feasibility: cut, fill and the running balance by lot and by street, holding ±1.4% against design — with the 8.94 ha balance land already flown in two strips for stage 5.
A plan that agrees with the ground it stands on: 412 lots closed to 1:14 200 on three permanent marks, the drainage recorded before backfill, and zero requisitions raised at lodgement.

Q05
Which revision is the grader working to?
The live one. Twenty-two sheets sit in one controlled register, superseded sheets are stamped and pulled, and every capture is read against the revision current on the day it flew — the lot 131 amendment was out as REV C by lunch.

Q06
The drainage is under fill before we lodge — how is it on the plan?
It is surfaced while the trench is open: the open drain graded for the 1% AEP event, the basin holding 4,200 m³ at TWL 8.20, the 0.86 ha reserve — all recorded before backfill and lodged with the plan.

Who reads it
Read overnight on a stage like this one: the weekly stage flight, the boundary ledger against DP 84217, the running earthworks balance, and the drawing register at REV C. Three of the 27 profiles wake up to it.
One corner is flagged against the deposited plan this morning: the fence on lot 131 sits 380 mm inside the peg. Re-fixed off PM 41 807 it is a ±1.2 cm measurement and an amended sheet by lunch — not a dispute after the title issues.
