Quantities before the argument.

Draw a boundary, pick a base surface, read the volume. Earthworks AI reconciles last night's cut, fill and stockpile quantities against the design surface and the pay item, so the claim and the ground agree before anyone opens a spreadsheet.

What it does

A volume is the difference between two surfaces. The platform holds this week's terrain model, last week's, the original ground and the design surface out of the civil package — so cut and fill come out of subtraction rather than a measuring wheel and an assumption about where the toe was.

Stockpiles work the same way: draw around the toe, pick a base plane or let one be fitted, and read tonnes as well as cubic metres once the material density is set. Earthworks AI runs the reconciliation every night against the pay item and flags the lines where claimed and measured have drifted apart.

How it works

  1. 01

    Set the two surfaces

This flight's terrain model on top; underneath, the previous flight, the original ground or the design surface. The pair you choose is what the number means, and it is recorded with the number.

  2. 02

    Bound the area

Draw the pad, the cell or the stockpile toe — or reuse last week's boundary so the series stays comparable. Density converts cubic metres to tonnes for material that is sold by weight.

  3. 03

    Reconcile overnight

Earthworks AI matches each measured quantity to its pay item and posts the delta against what has been claimed, citing both surfaces. Anything over tolerance is flagged by 06:00.
