A coaster has to be fun to the centimetre: a 47° chain lift to the crest at +42.00, a 78° drop into a 19.3 m pull-out, and a clearance envelope that must stay clear of every bent, catwalk and handrail on 2.1 kilometres of circuit. Ground Reality flies the profile in the window between park close and first dispatch, and checks that envelope against the steel that was actually erected.
The sheet above is a drawing of this. 10 capture waypoints, and every finding called as the aircraft reaches it — scroll sets the target, the mission keeps its own pace, and the page waits for it.
The plaza first, then the fountain show, then the wheel — and only then the lift hill, where the aircraft picks up the test train and crests with it at plus forty-two before riding the seventy-eight-degree drop down. Then the unit walks the plaza under that same drop and reads the bent that was twenty-two millimetres into the envelope before the shim pack went in.
The ride envelope is 2.60 × 2.10 m of air the train needs and nothing else may occupy. A catwalk bracket welded 60 mm proud at the loop exit does not appear in a model — it appears on a test cycle, at 91 km/h.
The envelope, against the steel
The circuit is scanned and registered against the ride model, bent by bent. Steel standing inside the envelope reads as a measured intrusion at the bent it happened on — flagged from 25 mm — and the same pass proves it clear again after the shim.

The park is open eleven hours a day and the ride opens with the gates. The only time anyone can fly the circuit is between park close and the first dispatch, and that is not a good hour to be planning a flight.
Capture inside the window you have
Missions are planned once and flown to schedule: the profile pass runs the full circuit at 0.6 cm detail, 2,140 images, inside the night window, with the dock launching itself and the processing finished before the first crew badges in.
A ride opens on five hundred test cycles, water-dummy runs, brake retardation tests and an evacuation drill — all of it signed on paper that goes into a folder and gets asked for by an inspector two seasons later.
Commissioning that survives the season
Your commissioning scripts run as structured gates on every cycle and every system: chain speed, anti-rollback, brake retardation, dispatch interval, evacuation time. Each result lands against the ride, the cycle and the dated frame that proves it.
The program owns the hours the guests never see. Between the 22:10 close and first dispatch, the circuit is flown, registered and proven clear — so the gates open on a ride that was measured overnight.

Commissioning cycle gates
Every test cycle, water dummies to evacuation drill
Chain speed, anti-rollback, brake retardation, dispatch interval, evacuation time — each result lands against the ride, the cycle and the dated frame that proves it.
The same record carries all 24 rides — 2.1 km of track surveyed as built, joint by joint — so the season's questions are answered from one place, not one binder per ride.
The park is open eleven hours a day. When do you fly?
In the window you already have. The park closes at 22:10, the dock launches itself, and the full circuit lands at 0.6 cm detail — 2,140 images, processed before the first crew badges in.
By offsetting it along the track. The 2.60 × 2.10 m envelope runs the whole circuit against the erected steel, and any bracket, catwalk or bent standing inside it reads as a measured intrusion — flagged from 25 mm.

Q03
What happened the night something was inside it?
The 02:40 scan found bent 9 leaning 22 mm into the envelope at the loop exit. It was shimmed, re-scanned by 05:15 and read 1.42 m clear — and the ride opened with the gates.
An inspector asks about the ride two seasons from now. What do we hand them?
The cycle it happened on. Commissioning ran as 34 gates across 500 test cycles — chain speed, anti-rollback, brake retardation, evacuation — each result cited to the ride, the cycle and its dated frame.

Q05
Is the ride still the ride we designed?
Measured, yes: the pull-out reads +4.3 g inside limit on cycle 412, track gauge deviation holds at 1.8 mm, and the 91 km/h drop meets a 19.3 m pull-out radius that is on the record, not just on the sheet.
Same record. Twenty-four rides and 2.1 km of track carried together, joint by joint, from bored pile to first dispatch — the season's evidence lives in one place.

Who reads it
Read overnight on a park like this one: the profile pass, the envelope registration, cycle 412's gates and the morning's dispatch plan. Three of the 27 profiles wake up to it.
Bent 9 sat 22 mm inside the envelope on the 02:40 scan. The shim is in, the 05:15 re-scan reads 1.42 m clear, and cycle 413 can run on water dummies before the gates.

Nothing stands inside an envelope this morning, and last night's gates all closed: pull-out +4.3 g inside limit, anti-rollback proven on cycle 412 — every result carrying the frame an inspector will ask for.

SEQUENCE
The only hold on this morning's opening cleared at 05:15 with the clearance signed. Dispatch holds its 84-second interval, the profile pass is processed — the gates open on time.
Send us one ride's model and your close time — we will fly the circuit inside the window and hand back the envelope check, bent by bent, before first dispatch.
