- 01How does retention get released without a fight?
- The defects-liability walk stands where the handover walk stood, so the close-out is a measurement rather than a chase. The balance falls due against a graded epoch, and anything still moving is named with its rate instead of held against the whole sum.
- 02What does it run on?
- A phone with a working camera, walked at a normal pace. No markers on the walls, no tripod stops, no beacons, and nothing to set up before you start walking.
- 03What does the grade actually mean?
- A surface is met when at least 3 stations saw it, the angles they saw it from are spread by at least 0.15 of the distance to it, the detail on the face is inside 3.0 mm, and it was seen no more than 60° off square. Anything else is thin, and thin is named on the schedule with the number that fell short.
- 04What happens when a phone cannot do the job?
- It says so, and it says what would. An ordinary phone holds 3.0 mm of detail out to 10.2 m square-on, and 5.1 m at the steepest angle still counted. A roof, a soffit, a live carriageway or a confined space is out of reach from the ground, so the walk grades it unseen and names what does reach it.
- 05Does the capture work without a connection?
- Yes. The walk, the grade and the dating all happen on the phone, with no signal. It joins the record whenever the phone next has one, and the epoch keeps the time it was captured rather than the time it arrived.
- 06Who can see a capture?
- Whoever the capturing organisation says, down to the part of the site. A question about a zone somebody cannot see comes back bounded rather than quietly filtered — nothing answers from what the asker is not allowed to see.
- 07What is not here yet?
- We are pre-revenue and we hold no third-party security attestations. That is stated on the page rather than in a footnote. What is built is the record underneath: measurements that carry their units and their ±, epochs that keep their dates, and captures that cannot be restated later.
