The aircraft never leaves site.
A weather-rated dock sits on the roof or the laydown yard for the length of the job. It charges the aircraft, opens on schedule, flies the boundary and shuts the lid again — two flights a day, in winds to 8 m/s, with nobody driving out.
What it does
The dock is a powered box, IP54 and rated −20 to 45 °C, that stays on the job from mobilisation to handover. The aircraft lives inside it on a charging cradle. At the scheduled minute the lid opens, the aircraft arms, flies the boundary you drew, lands back on the cradle and the lid shuts. No case to sign out, no pilot to book, no drive.
It also knows when not to fly. Wind over 8 m/s at the pad, rain on the sensor, a temporary flight restriction over the site, a pack under 90% — the mission holds itself, writes the reason into the flight log and messages a named person. A skipped flight is never a silent one.
How it works

Set the pad
A 1.2 m × 1.2 m slab, 230 V and an LTE or ethernet run. We survey the pad into the site control network, so every flight for the next two years starts from the same known point, ±1.2 cm.

Draw the boundary once
Boundary, altitude, overlap and the no-fly volume around the tower crane are set once per site. The mission is versioned — when the laydown yard moves and the boundary moves with it, the change is on the record with a name against it.

Let the calendar fly it
The dock arms at the scheduled minute, flies, lands, charges back to 90% in 55 min and uploads. Weather, airspace and battery holds are automatic, and each one lands in the flight log with its reason.
