Know what's in the yard, and for how long.
Deliveries booked in at the gate in under 60 seconds, located in the laydown yard by the morning flight, and aged by the day. 214 pallets staged on a typical job at a mean age of 9 days — and the crew that needs the embeds on Thursday is told which bay they are in.
What it does
A delivery is booked in at the truck with its docket, its purchase order, a photograph and the area the material was bought for. It is found again by the flight that maps the yard every morning at 1.8 cm/px, so staged material carries a bay, a frame and an age. Nobody has to remember whether it landed three weeks ago: the record holds the date, the bay and the photograph of the pallet.
The value is in the aging. Material staged longer than the activity it feeds is either double-handled, damaged or forgotten, and the sheet ranks it that way — oldest first, with the activity it was bought for and the week that activity now sits in. Installed quantities come off the same capture, so delivered, staged and installed reconcile without anyone walking the yard with a clipboard.
How it works
- 01
Book it in at the gate
Scan the docket at the truck: purchase order, packing list, photograph, damage note, the area the material belongs to. It costs a minute at the gate and saves the phone calls at the far end of the job three weeks later.
- 02
Locate it from capture
The morning drone flight maps the laydown yard at 1.8 cm/px and the 360 walk covers interior staging. Pallets are matched to a bay and a frame, which gives the yard an address system whether or not anyone ever painted one on the ground.
- 03
Age it against the schedule
Every staged item carries the days it has been sitting and the week its activity is scheduled. Anything aging past its activity is flagged for re-handling, return to the supplier, or the claim it belongs in — while the docket is still findable.
